  • Dr. Alana Friedlander is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the intersection of physical health and emotional well-being. She completed advanced fellowship training in psychogastroenterology, behavioral medicine, and sex therapy at the University of Chicago, with expertise in evidence-based treatment for gastrointestinal conditions, chronic pain, pelvic health concerns, sexual health, and other medical conditions influenced by the nervous system and stress response. Her work integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance-based approaches, clinical hypnosis, and other mind–body interventions to help patients reduce symptom-related distress, improve functioning, and strengthen coping.
